Booster Pump Package

Lockwood offers packaged booster pump skids for numerous applications. Booster Pumps increase the pressure of fluid as it goes through piping. Applications include but not limited to asphalt, cannabis, chemical commercial, educational institutions, hospitals, residential, manufacturing, and wastewater. There are many reasons for low water pressure it could be because your current system is outdated, the city decreased the pressure, or the friction factor has increased over time. Another possibility could be because additional water systems have been added through renovation or the addition of a new wing. Whatever your case may be, you need more pressure and flow.

Our Booster Packages can push domestic water, wastewater, glycol and many other mediums. Lockwood creates simplex, duplex and series Booster Packages using end suction or multistage pumps. They are equipped with standard components but can be customized to include expansion tanks, transmitters, strainers, specialty valves and much more. CHILLED AND HOT WATER PACKAGES

Chilled water packages help cool large buildings, factories, malls and government buildings. Typically a full system includes a roof mounted chiller, a cooling tower and a chiller water/hot water package. The chillers cool water to a desirable low temperature and the cooling towers helps with long spans of pipe to cool the water faster and more efficiently. Then, water is pushed to the heat exchange and the cool water transfer to the interior process water and the warm water taken from the inside of the building gets sent back out to the chillers. Chilled water packages help with keeping water cold as it runs through the system. It also helps filter the water and balance the system to keep pressure regulated. These packages need to be insulated so that the package will not sweat and leave moisture in the facility.
Hot water packages help heat the same types of infrastructure as chilled water packages. Instead of chillers, typically boilers or shell and tube heat exchangers are used to heat water. Hot water packages are needed to stabilize pressure and temperature. There are many components that can be added to fit your needs and specifications.
These packages can include air separators and expansion tanks to take air out of the system and to stabilize pressure. Lockwood’s cold and hot water packages are user friendly and come in customizable packages. Customers can include strainers, controls, VFD’s, tripled duty valves (includes a balancing valve), different materials and multi-directional header to allow for different configurations that suit customer preferences. SNOWMELTS

Snowmelt systems do exactly what the name implies, it melts snow (and ice). These small but useful packages are great for colder climates that accumulate snow and ice. Snowmelt packages push heated glycol solutions to piping embedded in concrete. Temperature transmitters are placing outside the facility in the open air and in the concrete. Once temperatures drop to a certain degree, the transmitter tells the pump on the snowmelt to start pushing the heated glycol solution out to the pipes to heat the concrete which does not allow snow or ice to accumulate. Snowmelts help with the cost of snow removal, extends the life of concrete, and creates a safer environment for the community. There are multiple styles of snowmelts, some include plate and frame heat exchangers, others include shell and tube heat exchangers that use steam and some use water heaters that are suitable for the glycol solution. These packages have a small footprint, and some can even fit through a standard doorway with the use of a pallet jack. Hot water heater packages

Hot water heaters are vital for everyday life. Whether it’s in an apartment building, a school, hospital or government building, hot water heaters are needed to handle the need to run dishwashers, showers, faucets and other uses. Gas ignition boilers have combustible gas that heats water as it is going in through the boiler. Many times, these Hot water boilers are set in series where one or several can run at a time, allowing for optimal and efficient boiler usage. Valves can be set to manual or automatic depending on customer preference. These packages can include pumps, can include expansion tanks to help keeping optimal pressure. They can also include air separators that take air out of the system. The different styles depend on the current system structure that you have. Most have small enough of a footprint where they can be moved on a pallet jack and fit through a standard sized door. Hot water packages can be used for process or domestic uses and can be used with multiple types of material to fit customer needs.
